Show Your Colors: Silk Banners

A great way to dress up your camp or even your feast area is with Silk Banners large and small.

So, how do you do it? I've got some great resources to help you along the way. If you want to do this at a newcomer/member get-together night, let me know & I'll work on scheduling something.

Bring your blazonry to life. Your device will make quite a noble impression as it flows in the breeze with the sun majestically illuminating your flashing colors.

Banners can be made in any size or shape, essentially. Some make pennants or flags for decorating tents. Some make shield style banners for processionals or for the field. Many make long banners that 'tell' who they are and where they come from: Kingdom blazon, Barony blazon, House blazon, Spouse and/or Personal Device Blazon

FIRST: You'll probably need a frame, made out of 3/4″ PVC, 20 large binder clips, and lots of rubber bands… quick.. simple…cheap. (for more details, http://honorbeforevictory.com/category/silk-painting/)

NEXT: You'll need supplies. Dharma Trading has a good selection, or you can look around locally for deals. http://www.dharmatrading.com/techniques/silk-painting/silk-painting.html.
